Below is a brief description of many other St. Timothy Church organizations, activities, and ministries that do not (yet) have their separate pages posted to this web site.

ADULT FAITH DEVELOPMENT: Parishioners have the opportunity to enrich their own faith life and that of the parish through programs or small faith communities. Please contact Jane Brown: 638-4557.

    BIBLE STUDY: Wednesday mornings 9:00 to 10:30 am in the Parish Center. Please contact Jane Brown: 638-4557.

    FAITH SEEKERS: First and third Thursday evenings 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the Parish Center. Please contact Austin Martinez: 351-5223.

ART AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE: This group decorates our liturgical space to enhance our worship for special celebrations, feast days and seasons of the church year. Please contact Jane Brown: 638-4557.

ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION: Adults of the parish who organize and coordinate the sports activities and run the Cabana and field operations, coach teams, etc. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in the cafeteria. Please contact Mr. Charlie Althage: 631-5065.

CANTOR: Anyone interested in becoming a cantor or substitute, please contact Mrs. Henrietta Werkmeister: (636) 296-3773. We would need you at our Saturday 5:00 pm liturgy or Sunday at our 11:00 am liturgy.

C.A.R.E: Christian Assistance Responding in Emergency. This is a group of mainly parish women who perform diverse duties like house sitting for a family who has lost a loved one, or perhaps help out with a funeral honor guard. Some members give transportation help to church, etc. Please contact Mrs. Josephine McGuire: 638-6220 or Mrs. Therese Coppage: 638-0496.

CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD: Adult parishioners and youth assistants take children from Kindergarten to Grade 2 during the Liturgy of the Word at the 9:00 and 11:00 am Sunday liturgies to present the readings at their level. Training and lesson plans are provided for the catechists. Please contact Jane Brown: 638-4557.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS: Adult parishioners who assist in the distribution of the Bread and Wine during the liturgy. Some also assist in bringing the Eucharist to the homes of shut-ins. Volunteers please contact Ms. Pat Boman: 544-8130.

FAMILY FACULTY: Organization of school parents and staff, who meet 3 to 4 times a year and are concerned with school information and activities. The President of this organization is Mr. Dave Bahre: 638-6517.

FINANCE COMMITTEE: The purpose of this committee is to meet with the Pastor to review and advise him on the financial condition of the parish. The meetings are monthly on the third Wednesday at 7:30 pm in the rectory. Members are appointed by the Pastor, along with a Parish Council representative.

GIFT BEARER: Any parish member may participate. We need more volunteers. If interested, please contact Henrietta Werkmeister: (636) 296-3773.

HEAVENLY DUSTERS: No formal meetings are held. Work in teams twice a week after morning Mass to clean altars and sacristy and perform some laundry duties. Mrs. Evelyn Ottenad may be contacted by leaving word at the rectory: 631-4244.

JOURNEY IN FAITH: This is the process through which the worshipping community prepares and welcomes new members. Sessions are on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the Parish Center. Parishioners are most welcome to participate in a variety of roles, or for their own personal and spiritual growth process. Please contact Jane Brown: 638-4557.

LECTOR: (Reader) The Lector meaningfully proclaims the Old and New Testament readings during the Liturgy of the Word. Volunteers of high school age or older are scheduled by the coordinator based on their Mass time selection. A training session is required and workshops are offered for a continuing enrichment in this ministry. Please contact Ms. Loretta Tanner: 631-3949.

LEGION OF 1000 MEN/WOMEN: This organization was formed by the late Cardinal Ritter to further spiritual growth through adoration of the Holy Eucharist. There are no meetings and this is open to all parishioners. Visits may be made at the Benedictine Chapel, 8300 Morganford daily between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm. LITURGY COMMISSION: This group provides direction to the public prayer of our parish family. This includes public prayer activities (Eucharist, Benediction, devotions, etc.) All the arts are used...past and present... to make the best expression of the beauty and depth of God's message. To meet this goal, the responsibility of the Commission is to set the tone for each liturgical season and to plan long-term goals for the community's prayer life. MATERNAL HEART OF MARY GUILD: An organization for women of the parish who meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm in the cafeteria. Social time follows each meeting and the women take part in many and varied charitable and recreational activities. Please contact Mrs. Fran Kohlman: 631-6617.

MEN'S CLUB: An organization for men of the parish who meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm in the cafeteria. Social time follows each meeting and the men also participate in various charitable and recreational activities throughout the year. Please contact Mr. Ray Kraus: 631-8781.

MUSIC: (Instrumentalist) Our parish welcomes volunteers who play musical instruments to participate in our liturgy celebrations, especially for the Christmas and Easter Seasons. Please contact Mrs. Rose Masidonski: 631-8260.

PETITIONER: Presently three groups, in a monthly rotation, are writing the petition prayers for the weekend liturgies and for holy days. Some groups prepare these together; some split up the weeks and compose theirs individually. Petitioners, if possible, do the recitation of these prayers at the 7:30 am liturgy. Please contact Mr. Bill Hessi, Coordinator: 631-7126. (No monthly meetings, but occasional joint workshops may be scheduled).

PRE-SCHOOL SUNDAY SCHOOL: Adult parishioners and youth assistants take charge of preschoolers ages 3 to 5 during the 11:00 am Sunday liturgy. Materials are provided. Please contact Jane Brown: 638-4557.

PSR: (Public School Religion) Please contact Fr. Hambrough: 631-4244.

SCOUTING: This organization is sponsored by the parish to help boys and girls to learn to serve God and community through nationally established scouting programs, implemented by our Troops and Pack. Mrs. Sandy Tunnicliff is the Girl Scout Leader: 544-5540; Mr. Jack Kienzle is the Cubmaster: 892-7121; and Mr. John Modesto is the Scoutmaster: 638-4507.

SERVER/ACOLYTE: The school children (boy or girl) take part in this ministry of acolyte. They normally begin serving in the fifth grade. Any adult volunteers (men or women) who would like to serve the 7:30 am Sunday Mass would be welcome. If interested please contact Fr. Hambrough: 631-4244.

SOCIAL CONCERNS COMMISSION: Gives leadership to the "social mission" of the parish. "Social Mission" means all charity and justice related activities. This includes a wide range....from aid to the needy (by supporting all the social ministry that already exists in the parish--for example, St. Vincent DePaul, C.A.R.E., hospital visitation, pro-life, soup kitchen, charitable endeavors at Christmas) to an advocacy of justice in political matters (the poor, the oppressed, peace making, disarmament, healing racism, etc.). The group meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Parish Center. For more information, please contact Mrs. Jeannette Ortmann: 842-7332.

ST. VINCENT DePAUL SOCIETY: An international Catholic organization of men and women, who seek, in a spirit of justice and charity, and by person-to-person involvement of its members, to help those who are suffering. Membership is open to all. Meetings are held on the first Monday of the following months: February, April, June, August, October and December, at 7:30pm in the rectory. WIDOWS/WIDOWERS CRAFT GROUP: This group meets each Tuesday at 9:00 am in the Parish Center and does some kind of craft. They share time and experience and have a good time doing it. Any widow or widower is welcome. Please contact Mrs. Terese Mall: 631-6555.
