Skills Needed

ADA VOLUNTEER: Men and women are needed to assist in the yearly work of the Archdiocesan Development Appeal, a fundraising drive each Spring for administrative, educational, and social work programs of our archdiocese. Most work is done after the Sunday Masses in April/May. Filling in the "interested in" column under this category should bring a call when this drive gets under way. ADA Chair:  Terri Loos.

FALL FESTIVAL: This event held each Fall needs workers and booth chairpersons with only the chairpersons attending the usual two meetings over the summer in preparation before the September festival. The Chairman is Mr. Rich Chinnici: 894-2970.

MONEY COUNTERS: Currently there are four groups who perform this duty in rotation, on Sunday mornings; different groups start at different times. The group coordinator is Mr. Roland Frank: 638-4573.

The following are skills that are self-explanatory. Our parish would appreciate knowing individuals who could assist in your skill or perhaps give advice on a job or problem. If interested, contact the rectory. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS: The parish operates a school from kindergarten through 8th grade. The purpose of the school is to proclaim the gospel message; to educate the whole child, spiritually, physically, intellectually, aesthetically, and psychologically; and to assist parents to understand and accept their role and responsibility as primary educators. The school staff works very hard to accomplish these goals and requires help. Some of the areas open are: workers in the Resource Center, performing library duties and story-telling to younger students; cafeteria helpers; errand runners; help to do clerical work and run stencils of school worksheets, tests, etc.; computer room aides to supervise students as they perform their tasks. Contact the school secretary, Mrs. Audrey Schmidt: 631-0991, and leave your name and where to be reached, as well as the role you would like to serve. Information on duties of parents, such as Room Mothers and Fathers, etc., to be performed during the year will b e distributed through the school. Parents willing to head such projects as fund-raising efforts or help with them may also contact Mr. Dave Bahre: 638-6517, the Family Faculty President, for more information.
