- The last
deacon of St. Boniface. Currently serving the pastor of St. Stephen Protomartyr
parish, in which St. Boniface was merged.

Harry
Keough
- Member
of St. Columbkille parish, frequent visitor and friend of St. Boniface parish.
Harry was a member of the 1950 US world cup soccer team featured in the 2005
movie, "The Game of their Lives" and longtime letter carrier and
St. Louis University soccer coach.

- Longtime
member of St. Boniface and alumna of St. Boniface School.

Mary Vasquez
- Member
of Our Lady of Covadonga (Spanish mission) which merged into St. Boniface
parish. Longtime Carondelet resident.

Al & Anna Guzman, Ken & Bernadette Vassalli
- Forty-five
year parish members. The Guzman family was noted for having the best (and
largest) family attendance at the early Masses (6, 7, or later 9AM) and fixing
whatever Father asked.

Sandy, Tom and Laura Ceriotti
- Members
of St. Boniface for more than 35 years, the entire Ceriotti family was very
active in many functions of the parish from fund raising to liturgical participation,
as lectors and eucharistic ministers.

- Pat served as a lector
for several years at St. Boniface

9 - Choir Notes
Mike Gregory and Mary Toomey
- Mike
came as youngster with his mother, a friend of Fr. Bob Samson, from St. Margaret
Mary Alacoque parish. Little did he know that he would keep coming later as
an adult. Mike was one of the male voices that sang in the choir during the
1990s until the closing in 2005.
- Mary
Toomey was a member of St. Columbkille parish and came to St. Boniface in
1950 when it closed. Mary worked at many parish functions and wherever needed.

Jennifer Brandel Owens, Terri Fritsche, and Diane Krull Catalano
- Jenni,
Terri and Diane are all alumnae of St. Boniface School. Jenni and Terri were
classmates and Terri and Diane are niece and aunt. All three are members of
families with deep roots in Carondelet and St. Boniface parish.

Helen Petrillo
- Helen Petrillo was a
longtime member of St. Boniface and played the organ when regular organist,
Doris Schmidt, was out or on vacation. She was also a member of the choir
and eucharistic minister with her late husband, Mike.

Colleen Berding
- Colleen Berding, webmaster
of this site, was a lifelong parish member of St. Boniface, from a family
which lived in the parish and area on the same corner (Davis St. and Virginia
Ave.) for nearly 80 years. Colleen's dad, George Berding, provided the flower
box outside the rectory prior to his retirement. One of her favorite memories
was being on the playground as Dad repaired some of the glass block windows
in the back of church one day.

- Karen
Hunter was a longtime teacher at St. Boniface. She now teaches at St. Stephen
Protomartyr.
- Joyce
Woods also taught several years at St. Boniface and now teaches at St. Francis
of Assisi in South County.
Father Tom Nelson, CM
- Fr. Tom
grew up one block south of St. Boniface and went to St. Columbkille, until
its closure. Father is a graduate of Kenrick Seminary and currently is teaching
for the Vincentian order in Kenya, Africa.

Bob Samson
- Fr. Bob
was one of the pastors of St. Boniface during the 1990s. This interview took
place immediately after the last Mass on June 26, 2005.
Earl and Anita Doggendorf
- Earl
and Anita Doggendorf are longtime parishioners and residents of Carondelet.
Monsignor
Norb Ernst
- Msgr. Ernst grew up one
block west of St. Boniface. In this January 2006 interview, he discusses what
it was like growing up in St. Boniface parish in the 1950s. Msgr. Norb is
currently serving as the pastor of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in South County.
Sister
Mary Ann Eultgen, SCC
- Sister Mary Ann was a
sixth grade teacher and later, principal at St. Boniface School from the late
1970s until the early 1990s. Sister talks about her time at St. Boniface and
how her career has progressed since her departure. Sister is currently a part-time
pastoral associate at St. Anthony's Hospital in South County.
