IMMACULATE CONCEPTION BULLETIN
March 23, 1997
FRIARS' MIND
The palm you received today at Mass is a reminder that
today begins Holy Week, the most solemn celebration of the
year. Try to take advantage of the great spiritual
opportunities offered this week: Holy Thursday, Good
Friday, and Easter Sunday.
Easter begins, according to ancient custom, with the
Vigil service Saturday night. Because daylight saving time
will not yet have started, it will be dark enough to
schedule the Easter Vigil for 7:30 Saturday evening.
Ten catechumens will be received into the Catholic
Church this year. Five of them will be baptized, and five,
already baptized, will make their Profession of Faith. The
ten of them will then be confirmed. Our catechumens this
year are the following:
Alexa Buente
Shawn Vogler
Elmer Buente
Rachel Prewitt
John Childers, Jr.
Kathleen Scheetner
Carrie Choate
John Schmiedeskamp
Katrina McAfee
Cheryl Young
Please pray for them that they will be faithful to
their commitment.
Frs. Earl & Gilmary
