FRIARS' MIND

This Sunday afternoon there will be an informational reception for parishioners who are new to the parish since we began the "I.C. Tomorrow" campaign last spring. If you missed the receptions last year, or would like to learn more about the status of our new parish center, you are also invited. Just RSVP Nancy Radetic at 296-2954 or Connie Henrion at 296-1291. Your suggestions and questions are welcome.

As the weekly notice in the bulletin reminds us, our campaign is going very well. We are approaching the half millon mark in pledges fulfilled! We are ahead of schedule. The building committee meets regularly with the architects to update and fine tune the design.

It will be a while yet before the actual ground breaking ceremony, but we have done much preliminary work for that big occasion. We have had the property surveyed and the test drilling of the ground will be done this spring. So, in one sense, in more than just a symbolic way, we have already broken ground.

Our thanks to all who have been so faithful in fulfilling their pledges, to the many who have helped with various fund raising efforts, and to all who continue to work toward fulfilling our dream of a new parish center. Thanks to all of you, we can now say with more confidence than ever, "A New Parish Center is Coming!"

PRO-LIFE APRIL'S MOM

April's mom is a college student who came home on spring break and came to Birthright to see if she was pregnant or not. Breaking the news to her and her boyfriend was not easy. The only positive thing is that she is carrying NEW LIFE inside her. It is difficult for them to see how it will all work out and they have not decided what to do. Please pray that they have the courage to carry their precious little one to term and then decide whether to keep their baby or not. At that point at least someone will be able to help this little one grow up to know, love and serve the Lord.

PRO-LIFE MEETING, this Saturday, May 3rd, 11 am, PC up. The committee would like to than the anonymous donor for the afghan and monetary donation to the "March" Mom
