FRIAR'S MIND

This is a busy time of the year. School and PSR are back in full swing, the soccer season is in high gear, and all the parish organizations have resumed their regular meetings and activities. The parking lot is usually full and the ball fields are seldom quiet.

This year a few special items have been added to the usual busy schedule. Please note.

The New Parish Center plans are being finalized. This project is moving along ahead of schedule, although there is much preparatory work to be done and more financial resources secured before we apply for a loan and open bids for construction. Thank you for your interest, ideas and continued support.

The Archdiocesan Endowment Campaign, "Returning God's Gifts, Sharing Our Hope," is now in full swing. We ask every parishioner to be part of this campaign and we thank in a special way our volunteers for their generous service. Please be gracious to them.

The Vocation Cross which is moving from parish to parish throughout the archdiocese will be in our parish next Wednesday, October 1. Please watch the bulletin for the time of the prayer services in our church.
Frs. Earl & Gilmary

RETURNING GOD'S GIFTS

SHARING OUR HOPE

Who is being asked to support the Archdiocesan Endowment Campaign?
Every Catholic household in the Archdiocese of St. Louis is being asked to make a gift according to their means. "Returning God's Gift, Sharing our Hope" means precisely that. We return God's Gifts, by sharing our blessings for the future of the Church which is our hope.

What if I cannot now afford what the Archbishop has asked of me?
Everyone has unique circumstances and must decide in their heart what they should give. It would be a mistake to give nothing because you cannot at present give what you would like to give. The most important thing is that, as a Catholic of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, you be a part of this endowment. By making a gift according to your means you endorse the work of the church and invest in its future. Remember the widow's mite!
