LITURGY COMMISSION

Sacristy Coordinator *
- Prepare sanctuary with liturgical objects for Sunday Mass
- Coordinate with ushers, choir directors, rectors, Eucharis
tic ministers, presider
- Ready sanctuary and church for the following Mass.

Greeter
- Present an atmosphere of hospitality
- Welcome parishioners and visitors
- Pass out Sunday bulletins and give pertinent information

Usher
- Facilitate seating of those attending Mass
- Collect weekly offerings of parishioners
- Assure presence of Offertory Gift bearers

Lector
- Proclaim
the Word during liturgical worship

Eucharistic Minister
- Assist in distribution of Eucharist at Sunday Liturgy
- Bring Eucharist to those who are ill or home-bound

Gift-bearer
- Carry bread and wine to the altar during Sunday Mass

Liturgy Planner
- Assist in planning seasonal liturgies, music, environment

Dance/Drama *
- Perform liturgical dance or acting during special liturgies and pare-liturgical worship

Church Environment/Art
- Plan for and decorate sanctuary/church seasonally

Mass Server
- Prepare for Mass and assist the Presider during Worship

Church Cleaning
- Clean and care for church and sanctuary furnishings.

Altar Linens
- Wash and iron altar linens periodically

Banner-maker
- Design and produce banners seasonally for liturgy services

Cantor
- Lead singing participation of assembly at liturgical worship

Music Ministries
- Rehearse/Sing/Play for parish liturgies and prayer services
- Participate in traditional choir, Guitar choir, Folk choir, Children's choir or Youth choir.
- Play musical instrument to enhance musical worship

Funeral Choir
- Play for and sing musical parts of funeral liturgies

Wedding Minister *
- Assist couples to plan the marriage liturgy
- Be present for wedding rehearsal and prior to wedding liturgy

Funeral Minister *
- Assist family in planning funeral liturgy and/or wake service

Sunday Mass Driver
- Transport homebound or elderly to and from Sunday liturgy

FORMATION/EDUCATION COMMISSION

Baptism Preparation *
- Facilitate educational process of parents for child's Baptism
- Plan Baptismal liturgy with parents

Reconciliation/Confirmation/Eucharist Preparation *
- Prepare and teach children and their parents for sacraments of initiation

Marriage Preparation Couples *
- Assist priest in preparing engaged couples for Marriage

Adult Education Teacher
- Prepare and teach adult enrichment religious education courses

PSR Class Teacher
- Teach religious education classes for grade school children

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
- Journey with Catechumens and Candidates as RCIA coordinator, catechist, sponsor, scripture facilitator or team member

Evangelization Committee *
- Reach out to inactive Catholics and unchurched persons through various models of evangelization

Prayer Planner/Leader *
- Create various prayer forms and liturgical services for Parish

Scripture Study,
- Study and reflect upon Scripture as God's Word

Parish Newspaper
- Write articles, organize advertisements, coordinate layout, design copy as team member of monthly parish newspaper

Parish Board of Education
- Advise pastor in making policy for parish educational programs

School/Parish Volunteer
- Volunteer as teacher, teacher's aide, teach mini-course, tutor
- Monitor cafeteria, playground, physical Ed classes, computers
- Help staff as Grandparent aide, guest speaker, videotaping

Children's Bible Summer School
- Plan and assist in Bible summer school for children

Parent School Association
- Meet to plan programs for parent/family enrichment
- Plan fundraisers for educational equipment and supplies
- Devise and implement community Halloween parade float

School Library
- Help organize and monitor school library during academic year

Legion of Mary
- Devote self to sanctification of membership and parish through
prayer and corporal/spiritual works of mercy
- Minister Eucharist to hospitals and homebound

ADMINISTRATION/FINANCE COMMISSION

Parish Pastoral Council
- Devise mission, goals and objectives for the parish community
- Advise pastor and pastoral team
- Coordinate spiritual and educational programs of parish life

Finance Committee
- Establish and supervise parish financial programs with pastor
- Monitor annual income and capital expense operations

Maintenance/Building Committee
- Provide for the maintenance of the parish plant and grounds

Budget Committee *
- Prepare and revise budget for church and school annually

Stewardship Committee
- Prepare, coordinate and present annual Stewardship parish program and areas of service as to time, talent and treasure

School Endowment Committee *
- Plan and administer contributions and bequests for Catholic education of school children

Capital Fund Raising *
- Plan and coordinate with pastor capital fund raising projects

Organization Talents *
- Volunteer skill and gifts for organizing programs and projects

Legal Advice/Projects
- Provide legal consultation and work for church and school

School Planning/Development Committee
- Provide research and planning for school growth and development

Weekend Auditors
- Count and deposit weekend envelope and contribution collections

Annual Catholic Services Appeal (ACSA) *
- Help coordinate annual appeal servicing educational, social, formational and health services in the Diocese

CHRISTIAN SERVICE COMMISSION

Church Nurser'
- Provide care and concern for small children during weekend Masses or occasional evening programs

Family Ministry Programs *
- Plan and provide support and growth experiences for singles, married couples and parents/families

Social Concerns Committee *
- Study local, national and international issues involving marginalized and needy persons
- Network with community and national organizational projects
- Organize persons around specific justice and peace issues

Pro-life Committee
- Plan and coordinate educational, pastoral and public advocacy efforts to restore respect for human life
- Study and network with local and national organizations regarding abortion, euthanasia, capital punishment, infanticide, vulnerable persons and right to life/death issues

Youth Group Team
- Plan and coordinate educational, social and spiritual experiences for the young people of the parish

Altar and Rosary Society
- Be responsible for the liturgical vestments and furnishings of the sacristy and sanctuary of the church
- Provide social activities for members and fundraisers for various parish projects
St.

Vincent de Paul Society
- Provide food, clothing and other necessary assistance to the needy of the community regardless of religious affiliation

Funeral Dinner Committee
- Provide hospitality and a meal for families after the funeral of a deceased member

Parish Caregivers *
- Provide assistance with transportation, shopping, companionship, personal care and chore services for frail elderly and homebound

Grief Support Group *
- Participate and share grief management experiences
- Provide comfort and support through the stages of grief

New Parishioners Committee *
- Visit and welcome new parishioners
- Share parish information and invite parish involvement

Hospital/Nursing Home Visitation
- Visit hospital patients and nursing home residents
- Provide a ministry of presence, prayer and sacrament
- Call persons after illness or hospital stay

Typing *
- Assist organizations, rectory and school with typing at home

Telephone /Receptionist
- Provide part-time telephone/receptionist services at Rectory Fridays or Saturdays bi-monthly

Ministry Training *
- Provide preparation and skill training for Altar servers and/or other liturgical ministers

Parish Census Committee *
- Plan and coordinate ways of updating parish census as needed

Ministry of Praise
- Offer prayers of praise and intercession by the elderly, handicapped and sick persons to further God's Kingdom and promote justice and peace among parishioners and the world community

Sunday Coffee Hospitality
- Organize and serve coffee, donuts and hospitality after Mass

Parish Nurse Program
- Provide holistic health information and services for parish.

Athletic Coach
- Provide coaching and leadership for grade school sports

Scout Leaders
- Assist grade school boys/girls develop mental, moral and physical fitness through Boy/Cub scouts and Girl/Brownie scouts

Maintenance Workers
- Provide general repairs and maintenance of parish buildings in skilled areas of heating/air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry, cement/brick work, electricity, painting, lawns/gardens

Centering Prayer Group
- Learn method of contemplative prayer through centering prayer

Small Faith Communities
- Participate with persons who desire spiritual growth and formation through Scriptural reflection and prayer

Publicity
- Write articles and communicate with community concerning parish activities and programs

Separated and Divorced Support Group
- Find healing and personal growth in a Christian atmosphere
- Meet challenges of change in a share and care support group
