Make No Mistake About It

Embryonic stem cell research is immoral! The debate is raging throughout the US concerning the destruction of embryo's for the sake of research, Even Pope John 11 personally talked to President Bush over this abuse of creation. President Bush knows what is right. Pray that lie does the right thing and not what is politically expedient.

I am affected by this more than most because there is a neurological disease in my family called Huntington's (I have taken pre-symptomatic genetic test and I am negative). This disease destroys brain cells. It is what took my father's life and a number of my relatives' lives. Yet I do not want human lives destroyed in order to further research on this disease that afflicts my family. Do not be fooled by the rhetoric that tries to justify the destruction of embryos (human life) in the name of research. We are not to kill in order to cure. There is more to life than just our bodies and health, In the US we are always looking at the outside. Having a healthy body or a body that looks good doesn't satisfy the soul. If we would spend as much time on our beans and minds as we do on our bodies we would be a lot happier. So don't be taken in by those who are only concerned about the exterior. Every action has moral implications and embryonic stem cell research is morally flawed. Make your faith known - keep America from being more anti-life.

"Every Catholic is a missionary of the Good News of human dignity redeemed through the cross. While our personal vocation may determine the form and style of our witness, Jesus calls each of us to be a leaven in society. and we will be judged by our actions. No one, least of all someone who exercises leadership in society, can rightfully claim to share fully and practically the Catholic faith and yet act publicly in a way contrary to that faith" (US Bishops, Living the Gospel of Life 1998, n.7).

DE NUESTRO PARROCO ........................

                    No cometa Errores Sobre Esto
