The adult choir of St. Peter Parish received an invitation to sing at a private audience of Pope John Paul II in Rome in June of 1991. A series of fund raisers was initiated and the proceeds went to help defray expenses. Some 40 members took the journey. Prior to their trip, a two hour concert was given in our parish church. All of the music that was to be performed on the trip was rendered at that concert. That concert was again given in St. Ignatius Church (Jesuit Church) in Rome. This choir came to be known as The Chorale of St. Peter, after a second adult choir formed in this musically talented parish.
