DEDICATED TO MARY
OUR MOTHER
OUR PATRONESS
One hundred fifty years ago, our parish chose Mary as its patron saint and named the new Church in honor of her Immaculate Conception. At about the same time, in 1846, the Baltimore Council chose Mary, the Immaculate Conception, as Patroness of the United States of America. Since the very beginning of Saint Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception, our parish has prayed for Mary's intercession on behalf of our parish community and our country in every aspect of life.
Our devotion to Mary is manifested through our Church, and illustrates beautifully Mary's own journey on earth to heaven.

MARY, Mother of the Church, our Mother, our Patroness, we thank you for the blessings bestowed for one hundred fifty years upon Saint Mary's Parish through your intercession. We pray that you will guide our parish community and our nation toward peace and loving service to God and the whole human family. We ask this through Jesus Christ, your son, as we anticipate the two-thousandth anniversary of his birth; he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
