What a joy it is for me, Fr. Vinny, and the members of the Pastoral Team and Pastoral Staff to serve the community of the sister churches of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception and St. Joseph in Wilkes - Barre, Pennsylvania.
The Second Vatican Council reminded us that we are God's people, a community of disciples. How wonderfully our Web Site images our parish community: the individuals and groups who serve Christ and His body, the Church, through worship and prayer, ministry and fellowship, ongoing learning and formation.
As we sense the Lord's presence in our midst and experience together the joy of Catholic - Christian life, remember your friends and neighbors who do not attend church or know our graced Eucharistic life, and extend to them the simple yet sincere invitation: "Would you like to come to church with me? We'd love to have you."
It is our earnest prayer that the Jubilee Year of 2000 will see a joyful renewal of Christian faith everywhere!
