ARCHDIOCESE-WIDE CAMPAIGN ALSO PROVIDES FOR NEEDS AT RESURRECTION PARISH
Last week we announced the start of an exciting endowment fund campaign for the
Archdiocese of St. Louis called RETURNING GOD'S GIFTS-SHARING OUR HOPE. The
goal is this historic effort is to raise at least $55,000,000 from all
parishioners in the Archdiocese. These funds will ensure the ability of our
Church to meet important needs in the areas of parish viability, Catholic
education, and priests' retirement on into the future.
Each parish, including ours, has received a financial target which represents
our fair share of the overall goal. Importantly, 10% of what is raised from
parishioners at Resurrection will be returned to our parish for meeting our own
needs-our current costs, and adding to our own endowment. More news and
information about this exciting effort going on in the Archdiocese of St. Louis
will be forthcoming in the weeks ahead.
Thank you all for your patience with the video shown in church last week on the "Returning God's Gifts" campaign. WE were urged to do this even if viewing or hearing conditions were not the best. It seemed to come off fairly well, in fact. Many of our parishioners are already involved in the work of this effort, and all of us will be. It is drawing the archdiocese together. In answer to a frequent question, this will have little effect on our own endowment program. It is doing quite nicely, the occasional Sunday envelopes are being well used and we are building it to a meaningful level. Let's just ask God to distribute our personal and our parish resources as best we can for the work of the church.
Thank you Grace!
