As part of the St. Jerome parish "sacrificial giving" process, parishioners are invited to pray about sharing their God-given gifts of time and talent. Listed below are opportunities to do that.

Liturgy of the Word with Children. On two Sundays each month, during Mass, young children are invited to reflect upon the Scripture for the day using the Lectionary for Children. As a facilitator you would lead the children in this reflection and prayer. Training will be provided.

Usher/Minister of Hospitality. The primary service would be to welcome those who worship at St. Jerome. You would be expected to arrive early for Mass, hand out worship aids before Mass, hand out bulletins after Mass, provide for the special needs of worshipers, gather the collection, clean up the worship space in preparation for the next service. Training is required.

Lector/Reader. This ministry proclaims the Word of God to the gathered assembly. Experience or talent in public speaking, storytelling or drama would be most helpful. Training is required.

Altar Server. Anyone who has received First Communion is invited to become an Altar Server. Training is required.

Eucharistic Minister. This ministry assists the Presider in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ to the assembly during Mass. Training is required.

Eucharistic Minister to the Sick and Homebound. This special ministry is for those who wish to take the Word of God and the Body of Christ to those who are unable to be present with the worshiping community because of illness or advanced age. Training is required.
