S tewardship Committee. This group works closely with the Pastor in promoting total stewardship in the parish through the annual "Take a Step" program, which encourages the sharing of one=s time, talent and treasure.Social Concerns Committee. This group meets periodically to discuss ways to awaken a social consciousness among parishioners rooted in the biblical call to justice and peace. Areas of concern include Ministries Unlimited, Transient Fund, respect for life, promotion of quality education, and respect for cultural and social diversity. Youth Ministry. This group of adults and youth works closely with the Coordinator of Youth Ministry to provide services to our young people to empower them to become leaders in the Church and community. Catechists (Teachers), chaperones, drivers are always needed. Faith Formation Committee. This is the primary advisory body to the Director of Faith Formation, with its primary emphasis on the faith development of parishioners from pre-school through adulthood. Terms are for a period of three years and meetings are held bi-monthly. Facilities and Maintenance Committee. This very informal group provides service to the parish in areas of carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, landscaping, painting, etc. Office Assistance. These individuals assist as needed with parish mailings, typing, folding and stapling programs, stuffing the parish bulletin, etc. Church Laundry. These volunteers offer to launder and iron the linens used in worship. The frequency of providing this service depends upon the number of volunteers (usually monthly). Sewing. These parishioners offer to make banners or other fabric decoration for use either outside or inside the parish church. |
