Time, Talent, & Treasure

Stewardship is based on the spiritual principles of the Old Testament and the teachings of Jesus. It is a way of thanking God for all His gifts, cherishing and tending them in a responsible and accountable manner, sharing them in justice and love with others, and returning them with increase to the Lord. Please consider making a commitment to stewardship of time, talent and treasure a part of our lifestyle.

Here are opportunities for you to participate in giving of your Time, Talent, and Treasure at SJN beyond your greatly appreciated weekly tithing.....

TIME

     >> Are you willing to help those who cannot drive themselves to attend Mass? We're trying to put together a team of people willing to bring one or two parishioners to Mass each weekend. Call Diane, (704) 531-2456, if you have a reliable car and are able to help.
     >>
The St. John Neumann Community Life Commission, in cooperation with the American Red Cross, is in need of volunteers to help transport people to and from doctor appointments. Volunteers do a four-hour shift - weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Those interested in this program should contact Bob or Sandra, at (704) 841-7562.
+ Loaves & Fishes is a small but important ministry of St. John Neumann Parish. We meet at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, on Central Avenue, for 2 1/2 to 3 hours on the first Thursday of every month, to bag groceries for needy families who have been screened by help agencies. Only three people work together each month. If you can help, or if you need more information, call Helen Servicky, (704) 535-6567.
