Introduction to Spirituality
"Spirituality" is a common, but elusive word in
today's Church. This short course will guide us gently through the language and
experiences of the spiritual world. Many of us have questions, "how do I begin to
pray?", "What is contemplation or meditation?", "Are these new
ideas?".
Led by Pat O'Neill, a married lay leader from
Gastonia who offers spiritual direction at the Oratory.
Sacraments of Healing and Forgiveness
The sacraments of healing and reconciliation are probably
the least understood of our sacraments. They are often seen through old images such as
"last rites" or a dark confessional box. This course will show them in a new
light and dispel some of the shadows. In addition, connections will be made between
Eucharist and the sacraments of healing.
Led by Joe Pearce from the Oratory and St. Anne's.
