Parish Notes
BLACK & NATIVE AMERICAN COLLECTION
- Next
weekend! This collection assists parishes & programs
here in our own Archdiocese and across the United
States as they carry out evangelization work among
African Americans & Native Americans. Please be
generous. This will be a second collection.
STRATEGIC PASTORAL PLAN
- There were 507
evaluation forms filled out at all the masses last
weekend. These have been sent to the diocese for
tabulation. In the meantime organizations, boards &
committees continue to formulate our response to the
parish in-depth evaluation form. Please keep these
efforts in your prayers. Final draft formulated March
7 at an all day meeting of the Strategic Planning
Committee, the Parish Council & representatives from
all major organizations of the parish. We thank all
who gave us feedback on the surveys..
MARRIAGE RENEWAL MASS
- Next Sunday, February
15, at 11:00 am mass, we will honor those couples
celebrating 25, 40, 50, 60 and above anniversaries. We
have invited them & their immediate families to this
celebration and meal to follow. Please make them feel
welcome. This truly is a "Love Feast" - years of
faithful commitment blessed by God.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
- Representatives will be
addressing the congregation this weekend to solicit new
members for the Knights of Columbus. The DeSmet
Council which meets at St. Matthias Church has been
most generous in supporting the efforts of our school

information, call Bob Wortmann (892-0070).
ECUMENICAL WORKSHOP CANCELED
-Due to a transfer

place. We regret this turn of events.
