Grow in Spiritual Stature During Lent

LENT CONTINUES

As we begin the second week of Lent you are strongly urged to join us for the Parish Renewal. Each night this week we will have special programs for adults, young adults (18-35), teens, elementary aged children & pre-school. Mary Boedeker, Director of Family Life Programs from Our Lady of Snows; Paul Lindauer, Director of Young Adult Ministries from Our Lady of Snows; Paul Massek, from REAP Team of the Diocese; and our own faculties from the Parish School & School of Religion will present the programs. Join us for one or all of the evenings. They begin at 7:00 pm and will be over by 8:15 pm. Baby-sitting is available. Bring the whole family. Bring your grandchildren. Bring your spouses or come alone and meet someone. We pray that God will bless our efforts.

PENANCE SERVICE

The Adult Penance Service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26 at 7:00 pm. There will be five confessors available. The Penance Service is open to persons of all ages. It is part of the Parish Renewal Program. There will not be an additional adult communal penance service later in Lent.

PETITION BOOK

During the season of Lent we will have the petition book in the back of Church for anyone to write their petitions in. This book will be brought up at the offertory along with the gifts and all parishioners will be asked to remember each others needs as they are stated in the book. Please add your intentions to the book and support one another in prayer.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS

The Children will be having stations of the cross and benediction on Friday at 2:15 pm February 28. Adults are invited to attend. Come early when you pick up the kids and join us for prayer.

SECOND COLLECTION

The second collection today is for the churches in Eastern Europe. After the fall of communism, the Churches in Eastern Europe need our help to rebuild. Please be generous. There is an envelope in your packet.

RENEWAL AT MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD

In this week's bulletin you will find a prayer card. Please pray this prayer with the members of your household each day that God will bless the members of our parish who choose to participate in the Renewal.

PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION

Tomorrow evening, February 24th,we will not have PSR classes as usual, but ask that the PSR students and their parents attend the Renewal. The Renewal begins at 7 pm. Everyone gathers in church. The evening's prayer will end around 8:00 pm.

NEWS & VIEWS CORRECTION

It was stated that the Blue Army acquired over a million signatures of people praying the Rosary. Actually, over a million Rosaries were pledged. We regret the error.

Annointing of the Sick

The Communal Anointing of the Sick will take place next Sunday, March 2 at 1:00 pm. All persons who are in need of prayers for healing are invited to come to this special mass and anointing. If anyone in your family is bed-ridden or cannot make the service, call the rectory and we will gladly come to your home for the anointing.

MINI-PICTORIAL DIRECTORIES

As we begin the parish renewal we hope that everyone will get to know each other better. To facilitate this process we were given free copies of the Parish Pictorial Directory. Take home one copy per family after mass today. It is a good tool to get to know each other. They are available at the doors of Church today.
