HOMECOMING MPB STYLE
We welcome all the visitors to our parish this weekend.
We hope that you will enjoy our hospitality and will
have a good time at the '97 Homecoming. Many of our
parishioners have worked for months to make this a
special time together. We hope that you enjoy
yourselves and the meals we have prepared for you.
THANK YOU'S GALORE
It takes many volunteers to make the Homecoming a
success. Sue Augsburger, our Chairperson, has done an
outstanding job in orchestrating our celebration. All
of the workers and organizers and donators have really
made this an outstanding community effort. Thanks to
all who put the spirit into our community life. This
truly is a place where neighbors can become friends.
PSR STUDENT/PARENT MEETING
Fr. Ryan would like to address all the parents of PSR
Students at the opening meeting of the school year. He
will present materials on the ACRE (Assessment of
Catholic Religious Education) tests that were given to
the students last year. These results along with a
diocesan survey on the perceptions that students have
of their parents' faith-life that we can strategize our
response. It is our hope that all parents will be
present.
CATECHETICAL SUNDAY
Next Sunday, September 14 at the 9:30 am mass we will
install the newly elected members of the Board of
Education and will bless the catechists/teachers for
our parish school, school of religion and adult faith
development programs. This is a special day for our
parish family as we entrust the religious education
process to the capable hands of these ministers of
education. The ceremony will be followed by a brunch
for the faculties and their families immediately
afterward. We are very indebted to these individuals
for all they do to help us create the future together.
May God's Kingdom continue to come among us.

Wednesday, September 10, at 7:00 pm in the rectory

All Catholics are invited to pray throughout the day
that a spirit of holiness would fill the hearts of our
priests in imitation of Jesus Christ, the High Priest.
The priests themselves will be gathering for prayer
together with the Archbishop, from 10 am to 3 pm.
CHOIR MEMBERS & PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS
Choir practice Thursday, Sept. 11th from 7:30 to 9 pm

am Mass.
TYPIST NEEDED
Peggy Weiler, who has been
typing the News & Views will be moving out of the
parish. We really appreciate all the work she did to
publish the parish newsletter. Now we need a
replacement. If you have a computer at home or would
be wiling to come to the rectory to type on one, we
need your help. The newsletter is issued four times a
year. Articles are submitted but a typist is needed to
lay out the newsletter in it's final form. Help will
be given, if needed. Call the rectory at 487-6456 to
volunteer.
Thank You
Thanks to Mel Hock and Lew Brennecke for re-installing
the sign on the front lawn of Church and the chin-up
bar for the children's physical fitness program. We
also owe a debt of gratitude to Joe Unterreiner for all
the work he did on the 7th Grade Science room. The new
cabinets, storage shelves and computer desk were
designed and installed by Joe. The kids are really
appreciative! Thanks too to Lance Polette for the
donation of desks and his work on the paper room
shelving. And a final word of gratitude goes to Vince
Scott and his boy scouts for their work on the fencing.
Along with super-installer Jim Risk we were able to get
a good start on the fence project.
