What is Needs & Services?
It is volunteers within the parish community giving
of their time and talents to help others.

What do they do?
A variety of services listed below-
Personal Contacts
Reach out to our homebound parishioners through phone calls, cards, or home visits.
Transportation
Helping parishioners who cannot drive obtain transportation to and from the doctors, dentist, church and the store.
Home Repair / Maintenance
Assisting parishioners in need with grass cutting, light housekeeping, moving heavy items, snow removal, changing ceiling light bulbs, minor plumbing/carpentry jobs and installing window/door locks.
Meal Preparation
For those parishioners who may have experienced a death, hospitalization or serious illness within their family.
St. Vincent DePaul
This society is our local branch of the larger St. Vincent de Paul Society. They offer emergency services and they conduct programs to assist the poor. Money collected on Thanksgiving Day and the loose change from 5th Sunday collections goes to support the society.
Welcoming
This group makes phone and/or home visits to new parishioners, to welcome them and share with them all that SMMA has to offer.
Whatever
The whatever team is a unique group of people who are open to helping others in whatever manner needed. Their talents do not fit into any particular category, and may include organizing people, activities, or computer skills.

The Needs and Services committee understands how busy life can be and appreciates all offers of assistance, whether it is a one-time offer or an ongoing commitment.
