Christ the King 2000
A STRONG PAST, A PROMISING FUTURE

Our Tradition...
Over thirty-five years ago the people in Springfield created a Catholic community of faith known as Christ the King Parish. These founding Catholic families formulated a vision: to worship God in a sacred space and to educate generations of young Catholics in a parish school. These parishioners recognized the needs of both their present community and the communities that would emerge through the years to come.

Today...
The parish has grown to a present registry numbering more than 1,330 families and continues to grow. We are grateful that you have chosen Christ the King as your community of faith and perhaps, a place of educational and personal growth. You have joined us at one of our most exciting times as we have outlined and implemented plans to expand our facilities.

Christ the King 2000...
In October, 1998, Christ the King Parish undertook the largest capital campaign fundraising effort in its history. The school and church are desperately in need of recreational and meeting space, parking, educational facilities, and additional workspace. Based on the costs involved, and what we as a parish are realistically capable of, our campaign goal was set a $4 million. This amount inspires every family to leave their handprint on our campus by participating in this campaign. It presents an opportunity for all to join together to build the legacy of this community for the next 100 years.
