meditating upon these mysteries of the

At the Cross her station keeping,

For His people's sins rejected,
Saw her Jesus unprotected,

Till His spirit forth He sent.
Fount of love and holy sorrow,
Mother! may my spirit borrow
Somewhat of thy woe profound;

Those five wounds on Jesus smitten,
Mother! in my heart be written,
Deep as in thine own they be;
Thou, thy Savior's Cross who bearest,

In the Passion of my Maker,

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. O Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may ever invoke thy most powerful name, which is the safeguard of the living and the salvation of the dying. O Purest Mary, O sweetest Mary, let thy name henceforth be ever on my lips. Delay not, O blessed Lady, to help me whenever I call on Thee, for, in all my needs, in all my temptations I shall never cease to call on thee, ever repeating thy sacred name, Mary, Mary. O what consolation, what sweetness, what confidence, what emotions fill my soul when I pronounce thy sacred name, or even only think of thee. I thank God for having given thee, for my good, so sweet, so powerful, so lovely a name. But I will not be content with merely pronouncing thy name: let my love for thee prompt me ever to hail thee, Mother of Perpetual Help. Amen.
Most glorious Virgin, selected by the eternal councils as Mother of the Eternal Word made man, treasury of divine grace and advocate of sinners, I, the most unworthy of thy servants, have resource to thee, that thou mayest be my guide and counsellor in this valley of tears; obtain for me, by the most Precious Blood of thy Divine Son, the pardon of my sins, the salvation of my soul, and the means necessary to secure it. Obtain the triumph of the holy Church over her enemies, and the propagation of the reign of Jesus Christ all over the world. Amen.
O most Blessed Mother, heart of love, heart of mercy, ever listening, caring, consoling, hear our prayer. As your children, we implore your intercession with Jesus your Son.
Receive with understanding and compassion the petitions we place before you today, especially (special intention).
We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who ask for your prayer.
We trust to your gentle care and intercession, those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or hurting, Help all of us, Holy Mother to bear our burdens in this life until we may share eternal life and peace with God forever. Amen.
Almighty and everlasting God, the eternal Salvation of those who believe in You, hear us on behalf of Your servants who are sick, for whom we humbly beg the help of Your mercy, so that being restored to health they may render thanks to You in Your Church. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ His only Son, Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell, the third day He arose again from the dead. The Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit
Residing in the Intellect:
Understanding, Knowledge, Wisdom, and Counsel (ready intuitive grasp of God's truth, ability to readily grasp the relation between created effects and their Ultimate Cause, helps us to judge Divine things, helps us to use Understanding, Knowledge, and Wisdom when we Act)
Residing in the Will:
Piety, Fortitude, and Fear (disposes the will to do good to all men for love of God, divinely strengthens our will against fear of danger, facilitates true compunction of the will relative to the inordinate desires of our concupisible and irascible appetites)
The Twelve Fruits of the Holy Spirit
Charity, Joy, Peace, Patience, Benignity, Goodness, Longanimity, Mildness, Faith, Modesty, Continency, and Chastity
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Prayer before a Crucifix "En Ego"
Behold, O Kind and most sweet Jesus, before Thy face I humbly kneel, and with the most
fervent desire of soul, I pray and beseech Thee to impress upon my heart lively sentiments
of faith, hope and charity, true contrition for my sins and a firm purpose of amendment.
With deep affection and grief of soul, I ponder within myself, mentally contemplating Thy
five wounds, having before my eyes the words which David the Prophet spoke concerning

Oh God, Who didst instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit,
grant us in the same Spirit to be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation.

Seven Spiritual Works of Mercy

The Eight Beatitudes Matt. V

May all our movements, all their movements, be guided by your Light and transfigured by
your Joy.
Angel Guide of Tobias, lay the request we now address to you at the feet of Him on whose
unveiled Face you are privileged to gaze. Lonely and tired, crushed by the separations and
sorrows of earth, we feel the need of calling to you and of pleading for the protection of
your wings, so that we may not be as strangers in the Province of Joy, all ignorant of the
concerns of our country.
Remember the weak, you who are strong--you whose home lies beyond the region of thunder,
in a land that is always peaceful, always serene, and bright with the resplendent glory of
God. Amen.
O glorious Saint Therese, whom Almighty God has raised up to aid and counsel mankind, I implore your Miraculous Intercession. So powerful are you in obtaining every need of body and soul our Holy Mother Church proclaims you a "Prodigy of Miracles...the Greatest Saint of Modern Times." Now I fervently beseech you to answer my petition (mention here) and to carry out your promises of spending Heaven doing good upon earth...of letting fall from heaven a Shower of Roses. Henceforth, dear Little Flower, I will fulfill your plea "to be made known everywhere" and I will never cease to lead others to Jesus through you. Amen.
O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your
love for God and charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to posses
miraculous powers.
Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or
anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore of you to obtain for me (request).
The answer to my prayer may require a miracle, even so, you are the Saint of Miracles.
O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my
petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and
the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. Amen.
St. Francis of Assisi, Prayer of
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, let me sow pardon.
Where there is discord, let me sow unity.
Where there is error, let me sow truth.
Where there is doubt, let me sow faith.
Where there is despair, let me sow hope.
Where there is darkness, let me sow light.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
