Welcome To St. Edward's Catholic Church! Founded in 1893 by the people of Mason County and staffed through the years by various priests of the Archdiocese of Seattle and some priest monks of St. Martin's Abbey of Lacey, Washington. We are located in Shelton, Washington at the southern end of the Olympic Mountains and the southern end of Puget Sound. Our parish is a growing community of wonderful people who have come to this part of the world to enjoy the beauty of God's creation. Our membership at the present time is about 925 families and 1650 members, with a growing Hispanic community which is developing into a vital religious community.

Our parish is staffed by Benedictine Priests from St. Martin's Abbey in Lacey, Washington. We are just over 100 years a catholic community. Masses were said in the local area for a number of years and three different sites have been used for our Church. The second site was donated by David Shelton for $1.00. The present site was purchased for $100.00 in 1903.

On July 1, 2005, Father Ron Belisle was assigned as the new priest at Saint Edward's.
Father Belisle encourages faith formation and celebration of the liturgy as he teaches people.  He has also been assigned to develop a plan for Saint Edward's to replace its existing church, which the congregation is outgrowing.
