The Parents of Teens Network is an opportunity for Parents of Middle and High School students to meet other parents of teenagers, talk about the experiences of being the parent of a teenager, and explore issues that impact teenagers in today=s society. Since teens have the support of their peer group, it is important for parents to have the support of other parents of teens.
The Parents of Teens Network meets for two hours once a month on Sundays during the Middle School and High School Youth Group Meetings. Meeting discussions are generated by the needs of the parent participants and will revolve around questions or concerns brought by the parents each month. A topic of the month, which is used as a back-up if no issues are brought by the parents, is mailed or e-mailed to participants prior to the monthly meeting.
A mini-library of resources relevant to teenage issues is available for check-out at the monthly meetings.
