As you begin your journey into the church, you start down the brick pavers that lead you under the covered walkway or through the courtyard, a gathering place used before and after liturgies to encourage introduction and conversation. As you enter the building, you will enter through massive hand-carved doors designed by Scott DeWaard. Unique in design, the front doors let you know you are entering a building that is extraordinary. The flooring in the narthex is also quite exceptional. The inlaid circular concrete pavers prepare you for the transition from the secular world to the sacred world.
