A Man in a Car Accident
" Something happened to me yesterday which showed me that God is using me and challenging me. I was on my way to do a visit for a food and blanket order and I had reached an intersection. As I was waiting to turn left into X street I hear a bang and when I look behind me I see a car smashed into a tree on the verge to my left, and the figure of a man in the front seat. I turned off the ignition and went to investigate as another driver did the same. Whilst the driver of the smashed car was bleeding he was most shaken. It so happened that the car he had smashed had to be forced off the road because the brakes had stopped working. In order to avoid hitting me he had diverted to the tree. He was an Asian whose mother was in hospital and whose wife was at university taking an exam. He was upset though he tried not to show it. Anyway, after waiting a while I knew I had to do something. I could never live with myself if I left him there. It so happened that the other passer by was grateful that I had put it into my hands. I ended up having to take him to the doctor's and to his house."
Responding to Conscience (teaching that God inspires us)
" A strange coincidence happened to me the other day which of course was no strange coincidence at all. I was driving in the ______ area and I happened to see a woman I had visited the day before, with her 18 month old baby in a pram, walking bak home to the Woman's Refuge Centre. I wondered whether I should offer her a lift as it was a cold wet day, but at first I neglected God's call and drove on. When I reached ___Street it was pouring down with rain by now and there was no way I could turn a blind eye....so with a heavy conscience I took a left turn and found myself heading back towards __street. After a couple of minutes I was able to get their attention and they got in and I took them home. She called me an "Angel in disguise" which gave me joy"
