In the text which follows you will read me espousing a position which I do not value or believe in. I had to debate that Catholic Schools should not exist, although I believe they should. So, I decided to make my debate very ironic - I succeeded in actually supporting the notion that Catholic Schools should exist (through my sarcasm) AND managed to win the debate at the same time. I took on the persona of a New Age Guru and my most proud moment was when my time ran out. When the time-keeper explained that it was time, I held up my hand and said "There is no time in the realm of the Divine" much to everyone's laughter. I had a great time - but more importantly, I had a chance to explain what I feel Catholic Schools are here for - in a round-about way!

Position - negative team

Chair person , ladies and gentlemen. After listening to the first speaker of the negative team and the pathetic logic of the opposition , I am certain you will agree that there can simply and irrefutably be no place for the Catholic or other Christian School in today’s society. But, even if her arguments were to fail , as I’m sure the opposition would contend, there can be no denying that the Catholic Ethos is unfounded and extremely dangerous; and this today more than ever - today when we are bordering on the horizon of the New Age ; a new age promising peace and goodwill and freedom. Finally, after so many centuries of Church dominated ignorance , we , my dear friends have come to an understanding of our inner dignity which springs from our interconnectedness with the cosmos. The fact that so many have been fooled ..ugh I mean that there are so many followers of the new age movement who have found true joy, peace and power in the awareness of their spiritual essence , is indicative of the Church’s backwardness and superstitious foundation. How obviously irrelevant then are the foundation stones upon which the Catholic Schools are built. With what foresight are our governments moving when they legalize witch craft as the Queensland Government recently has done , likewise for other religions of this new age. , paving the way for the one world religion with its many paths to divinity.

Earlier I spoke the word ‘freedom’. The Catholic Church has the intention of destroying the freedom of our beloved children and uses many emotive words to tug at our heartstrings such as ‘social justice’ , ‘ community’, ‘pastoral care’, ‘fraternity’… Aren’t these the values for which the Catholic school stands and for which it is praised. ? Well, how we have been deceived! The Catholic Ethos does seek freedom; it seeks to free our children from the knowledge of and belief in the self - a belief which would , if not suffocated, lead to self - fulfillment and quicken the onset of the final stage of our reincarnational voyage through death and rebirth. Through the tool of Religious Education , the students are prevented from ; (1) exploring and entering into whichever religion or ritual they wish, (2) experimenting with crystals and other divinations such as the powerful ouija board and (3) feeling good about their pre-marital sexual activity ,(4) following the dictates of their heart by forcing them to conform to debilitating church enforced social laws such as celibate love before marriage, fidelity, monogamy and exclusive heterosexuality . Need I say anymore ? These have no place for our new age children of the dawn. Yet, the Catholic Church would prevent this determined independence from all authority by telling its students that such paths are contrary to true freedom from slavery to sin and the power of evil - notions which can only be described as outdated and relevant for primeval man. Unfortunately, the Church is without the knowledge with which the new age is endowed and cannot see the benefits of things such as transformational drugs like LSD and ecstasy , which result in emotional union with the world bringing enlightenment , and incredible power conducive to the building up of trust , even between complete strangers and the breaking down of barriers. Or, as the case has proven to be in some instances - to an early death and entrance to a better life.

The Catholic School stands out my dear sisters like an extremely sore thumb. The world cannot achieve unity with its exclusiveness and divisiveness . It destroys families encouraging disciplined moralism which serves to restrict our children in all facets of life. Our children should be encouraged to ignore their behaviour - matter does not matter - its the spiritual which counts - or they may develop an unnecessary complex.

The head of the Lucifer Publishing Company stated in 1954 that notions of ‘sin’ and ‘conscience’ are absurd. An advocating of these notions justly leads to protests. Such as like was seen recently in the United States . It was only goodness and a desire for unity , peace and the common good that motivated a group of our homosexual activists to attend a Catholic Mass and peacefully trample consecrated communion hosts underfoot.

My dear divines, it is only through the educational driving out of belief in Christ that the Church will be saved from its own self - destructive path chosen for itself by pressuring students to conform to a Catholic identity and mission. For it is a mission which denies our true identity as gods, with the powers to heal a broken world. And so I appeal to your better conscience … I mean judgment , to protect our children from the church’s plan to destroy them and Lucifer, the ‘light bearer’ in a darkened world, who oversees the new age process of our living many lives through reincarnation. So says Vera Stanley alder, a well known new age occultist. So say we who are masters in the spirit world.

Therefore, in conclusion , whilst the Catholic School pays lip service to their desire to create ‘mature, caring responsible young people whose actions are guided by a belief in the Incarnation’ , the new age schools will create mature, self - responsible people guided by a belief in RE - incarnation.
