Letter sent to the West Australian Newspaper regarding Politicians and the Abortion Issue

ISSUE: POLITICIANS AND ABORTION

To The Editor

Isn't it interesting how some of the politicians I have written to, refuse to answer my questions on abortion? Diana Warnock is a prime example. I have asked where Ms. Warnock and others like her, have obtained the information that 81% of Western Australians are pro abortion or choice and I get no answer. I alert them to the fact that every educated person knows polls are subjective and they do not hear. I ask whether they have viewed aborted fetuses and know how abortions are carried out and not a comment is made. I ask them to consider how dismembering little bodies can possibly be viewed as 'common procedure' and no answer is given. I ask them to consider the women hurt by abortion and receive no comment.

All I keep hearing instead, is that women and doctors have the right to 'terminate' (a nice euphemism for 'kill') an unborn child as if it were merely an organ of the mother.

There can only be one explanation. Either our politicians are aware of the facts and consciously seek to legalise infanticide and prevent Western Austalians from knowing the truth, or they are wrongly informed and therefore not professional enough to sit in Parliament. Those among them who have fought for life's cause are to be applauded.

The day the Western Australian Government sanctions infanticide is the day we deserve the contempt of civilised societies.
