FOR TEACHERS OF YEARS 8 – 10, namely classes that are not rotating, the teacher needs to ensure, that in the course of the year, the assessment types are not repeated. Therefore, if students are asked to write a letter OR if students choose to present their assignment in that form, they are not asked or permitted to complete another assessment in the same format for the rest of the year. It is important that we try to assess in as many different formats as possible.

FOR TEACHERS OF YEARS 11 – 12, it is important that the same be done, however, given that classes will be rotating, teachers will need to advise the subsequent teacher of their class of the assessment type given to that particular class. As noted above, this is to ensure that a range of assessment types are offered to students throughout the course of the year, of differing levels of difficulty and that no assessment type is repeatedly given to students.
