After sharing this with one class, one student said it was the best thing he had ever heard. I explained that nobody can brainwash you as Faith is a gift - but we must ask for it.

St. Matthew's Gospel

Can anyone be forced to accept the Christian faith?

160. To be human, "man's response to God by faith must be free, and…therefore nobody is to be forced to embrace the faith against his will…"

So, we must ask for the gift of faith if we don't already want it and if we want the Life that Jesus offers.
