ARE YOU A CATHOLIC CONCERNED ABOUT THE LACK OF ORTHODOXY IN OUR CHURCH? Like me, you have probably felt isolated, wondering what could be done to lead more people to the faith. Sometimes you may have felt overwhelmed by the job ahead of you and simply gave up. This is YOUR opportunity to make your effort count. How? One small effort may not have a large effect. But if hundreds of you decide to do ONE THING to help this initative, then collectively, you can make a difference in the life of at least one person. If you decide to do more than one thing, that's even better! 7 SIMPLE THINGS YOU CAN DO: * SAY A SHORT PRAYER-- NOW! Nothing will happen without God's help. * SIGN THE GUESTBOOK Let people know that there are orthodox Catholics are out there, and we're not a figment of the pope's imagination. If there are so many lukewarm Catholics in Canada, it's because many of them have never see faithful Catholics, and can't take the idea seriuosly. Also, it encourages other loyal Catholics to know that they are not alone. * TELL A FRIEND Think of a fellow Canadian who might benefit from visiting this site. Or of someone whose presence may benefit visitors. * GIVE US A LINK Link to this site from your Catholic or personal homepage. Get the word out that this page exists. The extra link also helps raise our search engine ranking. * LINK TO COMMUNION DOCUMENTS This is another good way to get the word out. If you don't have a links page, but you have an apologetics or Catholic page, you can link to a document in the file library. They all have a link to the main site. This will surely attract a few visitors. * DEVOTE ONE HOUR OF YOUR TIME ON THE CHAT If you haven't noticed, the chat room is usually empty. But if you can email me and promise to be in the chat room at a certain time on a certain day, then I will do my all to make sure that others show up. Chatting is a fantastic way to develop friendships with people and let the world know that faithful Catholics are people like anyone else. Just being friendly is a great way to evangelize. * JOIN AN EMAIL LIST By joining the Catholic list, you can encourage people in their faith, answer questions, participate in discussions and build a Canadian orthodox Catholic community. You can also join the interfaith list and engage in discussions and debate with non-Catholics and defend the faith. * WRITE AN ARTICLE FOR THE FILE LIBRARY There's always room for more. I am especially looking for historical documents, articles that explain the rudiments of philosophy, as well as articles written about the Canadian Church or from a Canadian perspective.
