Youth Ministry Training:

Training is available to youth and adults, both as requested and through programs cosponsored by the Office of Youth Ministry.

Parishes and/or regions may request personalized training on a variety of youth ministry topics, including retreats.

The National Certificate Program in Youth Ministry Studies is available to adults at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, Illinois. The diocese cosponsors this excellent program with four other dioceses and the Shrine. It is a two-year program that provides a solid foundation in youth ministry. Participants can earn a nationally recognized Certificate in Youth Ministry upon completion.

YouthLeader is a program of the Center for Youth Ministry Development, held in various sponsoring dioceses each summer. It is a five-day intensive training experience, designed for high school youth. Adults accompany youth to the event, so the group may come as a parish team. Omaha, Nebraska has sponsored the program for the past several years.
