The
American Catholic Philosophical Association The ACPA publishes the American
Catholic Philosophical Quarterly journal and
presents the Aquinas Medal to individuals who
demonstrate "outstanding teaching; personal
publications of permanent and scholarly value;
influence upon American philosophical
thought." Past winners include Karol Wojtyla
(Pope John Paul II) in 1979, Jacques Maritain in
1951, Anton C. Pegis in 1975, and Ralph McInerny
in 1993.

and maintained by a doctoral student at the
