The Story Behind 'The 60-Second Aquinas Lesson' In June 1998, enthusiastic about my webpage that had debuted the previous Easter, I decided to write a daily lesson about the philosophy of my favorite saint, Thomas Aquinas. The idea has caught on, and the Aquinas Lesson is the most popular feature on the Lux Veritatis webpage with nearly 30 visitors each day. In October 1998, I began offering the lesson via e-mail. Today, hundreds of people from around the world receive the Aquinas Lesson. My goal has been to make the Aquinas Lesson a daily event, and for most of its history it has been posted daily. However, because of an increased work load during the school year and family obligations, the Aquinas Lesson is posted three times a week (Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays) during the school year and daily except for Sundays during the summer. The intent of the lesson is the same as it always has been -- to help people understand the philosophy of Aquinas. Hopefully, a better understanding of Aquinas and Catholic philosophy in general will result in greater faith for those who encounter this site. I know writing it has helped me! God Bless!
