About this Website

Chris,
As you requested we have reviewed your excellent site and added it to our database. http://www.petersnet.net/search/viewsite.cfm?Site=569

Thanks for asking. God bless you.
Darden,
Peter's Net

Response: Peter's Net is a Catholic search engine available to anyone surfing the web. Rather than just list sites, the Peter's Net staff reviews each site submitted to it and provides grades (A-F) for fidelity, resources, and implementation. I'm proud to say that Lux Veritatis received A's for all three categories!

Thanks for a wonderful website.
Keep well,

I love your St. Thomas daily lesson.  Have you considered sending it out as a daily email?  I would love to receive it in the mail each day...  I check my mail each day but do not have time to surf the net each day! Thanks for your great work.

Response: A great idea! Since late October, the Aquinas Lesson has been made available by daily e-mails. Subscriptions are free and have been growing. Thanks again for the idea.

As a fledgling fan of Aquinas and philosophy in general, I applaud this site as an outstanding educational tool.  I plan on visiting often to take advantage of the opportunity to study and learn the Faith. God Bless

It is Saturday morning. a little after 7:00 a.m., having just gotten to the office after visiting the Blessed Sacrament, I decided to see how the internet could enhance my relationship with Christ.  What a find.  You can be sure that the fruit of your hard work will be spread among the growing and strong Cursillo Community of Northeast Florida.  God bless you.

First, I just wanted to say that it was  a true pleasure to come across your site yesterday - it kept me at the library a whole 4 extra hours! Thank you so much for differentiating the gulf that exists between the defenders of Rome and those against her.  I can not tell you how much of a smile it gave me to read: "If you want to know the teaching of the Church and the philosophy behind that teaching, you're in the right place. If you're here looking for ways to undermine Rome, you'll be disappointed."  That pretty much said it all.  The more I read about what is going on in certain dioceses and communities world-wide the more certain I become of the need for people and organizations like Lux Veritatis, and likewise the more I am endeared to them.

May our Lord continue to Bless you, your family and Lux Veritatis in all your endeavors!  You are one of the true lights of truth that we need so dearly in our world today.

Thank you and God Bless,
Jeannine

LV is a very fine website indeed! Thanks for all the work you do to put it together. You've been bookmarked, and I'm sure I'll visit your site often.

Hi there!  I recently visited your website, and thought it was very cool.  It basically told me that we should all try and get along, but not tolerate changes, or something to that degree.  Your website was pretty cool.  Keep up the work, and God bless ya!

I very much appreciate your Web site and its emphasis on the Thomistic heritage of exposition of our Faith as extolled by many occupants of the Chair of Peter throughout the history of the Church. I am a 21-year-old "budding" Catholic apologist who is cursorily familiar with the writings of the Angelic Doctor, having perused (Dr.?) Anton Pegis' Introduction, G. K. Chesterton's brief but brilliant St. Thomas Aquinas, and Etienne Gilson's Christian Philosophy of St. Thomas Aquinas.  I believe that, in some respects, the Thomistic insistences on the objectivity and intelligibility of truth are more pertinent today than in their contemporaneity for their utility in the conversion of neo-pagans and others whose hostility to Christianity stems from their intellectual rejections of these premises.

I pray that God the Holy Spirit will continue to lavishly bless your apostolate of Truth and that non-Christians, anti-Catholics, practicing Catholics and all else who need to conform their wills more perfectly and ardently to Christ's (and who among us can exclude himself?), will be inspired and encouraged by your work to cling ever closer to their crosses, in union with Our Divine Lord's, for their own salvation and for that of the entire world.

Sincerely in Jesus the Christ,
Bryan J. P. Gesinger

I will add a link to your pro-life page on mine (below). You may not be aware that I was an activist in Operation Rescue in the late 80s and early 90s. The people I met there were instrumental in my decision to convert to Catholicism.

Thank you for the work you are doing, both in defending the Church and desseminating the truth.  I thought your idea of a 60 second St. Thomas lesson was inspired, and I liked the Defending the Rock approach, and Domun Sanctum.  There is no doubt that your excellent point - check what the Church teaches by referring to the Catechism and querying informed members thereof, not by what a non-Catholic avers is taught - is Frequently Overlooked.

Also your very sensible decision Not to have Catholic universities page, links, etc. will free you from what could turn out to be quality control in a very time-consuming fashion.  That is, you would have to be checking up on what was being taught, and implied, in classrooms all over the place, over and over again.  I get so tired of those people who waste valuable time blithering their opinions when what is needed is Holiness.  We need LOTS of Saints!

So your site is a breath of fresh air, a big encouragement, and we are grateful for the work you all put into it.  We'll be checking in frequently for Aquinas updates.

God bless you,

I am beginning to think that a great deal of the problems in the Church are simply the result of ignorance and/or rejection of Thomistic philosophy.
