The Church teaches that we are all called to a vocation, but this is not the same as a profession. The Church teaches that we are called to a vocation of married, single, or religious life.

Whether the priesthood ought to be reserved to men alone

Reserving the priesthood for men alone has not been popular, particularly in today's society. To say women are not allowed in many sectors of society is sexual discrimination. However, it is important to remember that the priesthood is not simply a profession.
