We, the Catholic Community of Transfiguration of Our Lord formed by the Gospel and united out of love, are called to promote the kingdom of God and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in word and action. We celebrate God's presence in Word and Sacrament in order to use our gifts of time, talent, and treasure to build up the Body of Christ and to serve the human and spiritual needs of others.
ADULT CATECHUMENATE: THE RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (R.C.I.A.)
This is the process through which a person becomes a member of the Roman Catholic Church. People who are interested in the process or who are simply curious about the faith are invited participate in the regularly scheduled sessions. For further information, please call the Parish Center.
INFANT BAPTISM
We ask that families preparing for this first of the initiation Sacraments be registered members of the Parish for six months. Parents are required to attend Pre- Baptism sessions BEFORE the child's birth, as part of your spiritual pre-natal care. Baptisms are scheduled at Saturday or Sunday Eucharists or appropriate feasts. Please contact the Parish Center for further information.

RECONCILIATION
This Sacrament of Healing is celebrated by appointment at any time. This Sacrament is also celebrated communally several times a year, and these dates are published in the bulletin.
CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE
If you intend to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage at our Parish, you must be a registered member and have notified Father Herb at least six months in advance. The Archdiocese requires a six month planning period and completion of one of the marriage preparation programs. Please give yourself adequate time to prepare for this sacred and special event,
A parishioner of Transfiguration is one who is registered and regularly participates in our Liturgical Life and demonstrates support of the mission of the parish through gifts of Time, Talent and Treasure.

Anointing of the Sick
Any member who is seriously ill, physically or emotionally may request the Sacrament
of the Sick. Please phone the Parish Center to make arrangements.
Communion
Any member who is homebound and who would like to receive Communion, please
phone the Parish Center to make arrangements.
Announcements must be in writing, and in the Office by noon Monday
