Evening Prayer

O my God, prostrate before you, I adore you, most Holy Trinity, with all the angels and saints that surround the throne of your infinite Majesty. I thank you, heavenly Father, for having created me. I thank you, Divine Son, for having redeemed me. I thank you, Holy Spirit, for having sactified me, and called me to your Holy Church, and particularly for all the graces and favors you have bestowed on me this day.

Join me, you blessed saints and angels, in thanking the God of mercies, who is so bountiful to so unworthy a creature.

Come, Holy Spirit, and enlighten my mind that I may clearly see all the sins I have committed this day in thought, word, and action, and give me the grace to obtain full pardon of them by an act of sincere contrition.

Make an examination of your conscience and ask pardon for your offenses this day.

O my God, I am sorry for all my sins because they displease you, who are all good and deserving of all my love. With your help I will sin no more.

Visit, I pray you, Lord, my home, and drive from it all the snares of the enemy. Let your holy angels dwell here to preserve us all in peace, and may your blessing be upon us forever.

Bless, Lord, the repose I am going to take, in order to renew my strength, that I may be better able to serve you,

All you angels and saint, Mother of God and dear Saint Joseph, intercede for me this night, for the rest of my days, and at the hour of my death. May divine assistance remain always with us.

My Jesus, have mercy on all those who will die this night and grant them eternal rest and salvation. I ask all this tonight through our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
